Forgepoint Capital: Our 2024 Year in Review

Join us for a look back at 2024.

As we embrace the new year, we’d like to take a moment to express our gratitude for an unforgettable 2024 with our community of innovators, builders, experts, practitioners and supporters around the world.

2024 saw rising consolidation across the cybersecurity market, lower deal count, muted valuations, and elevated funding levels- with expectations of accelerating M&A and IPOs going into 2025.  

Just as software ate the world, AI is now eating software and permeates the entire technology stack, offering powerful capabilities for every business process- including cybersecurity- while introducing new threat vectors. 

Large-scale incidents like the Change Healthcare breach, the CrowdStrike outage, and Salt Typhoon and Volt Typhoon led to critical conversations around critical infrastructure, concentrated IT services, and state-sponsored espionage.  

Through it all, our exceptional community came together to innovate, collaborate, and protect the digital future:

We announced Forgepoint Capital International, our expansion into Europe, Latin America, and Israel, and welcomed Damien Henault, Michael Cortez, and Jaime Goyarrola to the team to lead the charge from our new London office. 

We celebrated 3 acquisitions, 4 new companies, and 19 financings for new and existing companies that raised a combined $280M in capital while our portfolio earned $800M in revenue.
