I’m thrilled to share that Forgepoint Capital International is co-leading Multiverse Computing’s €500M ($570M) Series C funding round alongside BNP Paribas and Bullhound Capital, with participation from a consortium of global technology firms, strategic investors, and sovereign funds including Santander, Tikehau Capital, HP Inc., Orange, SETT, and EIC.

Multiverse Computing: The efficiency layer for AI

The surging AI market is driving up inference and training costs, energy consumption, and demand for advanced microchips and computing infrastructure. AI needs to become radically more efficient to train, deploy, and use.

Multiverse Computing optimizes AI in the cloud, on-premises, and at the edge. Enterprises use Multiverse’s platform to deploy efficient AI models faster at a lower cost, without having to replace infrastructure or route every workload through a hyperscaler. Backing the complete end-to-end AI operating system

A year ago, Forgepoint Capital International was proud to invest in Multiverse Computing’s $215M Series B round. We had followed the company since meeting co-founders Enrique Lizaso, Román Orús, and Samuel Mugel in 2019, seeing it grow from a quantum research lab to a commercial product with the potential to disrupt the AI training and inference market.

Our conviction has only deepened since. Multiverse Computing has become the most advanced operating system for next-generation AI gigafactories and data centers, enabling organizations to deploy AI more efficiently and securely at scale.

Multiverse’s technology has evolved into a complete AI foundry. Its CompactifAI compressor delivers optimized AI models that run faster using less energy, with minimal accuracy loss, while its CompactifAI Router orchestrates each AI workload in real time, matching it to the most efficient model and backend computing, whether locally or in the cloud.

The company has also developed SentinelAI, an AI governance, guardrail, and security platform that monitors model behavior in production, detects anomalies and improper access, and strengthens inference traceability. It provides robust prompt injection guardrails, real-time governance, safety and data monitoring, and sovereignty control capabilities- meeting critical requirements in regulated sectors such as banking, energy, defense, and public administration.

Multiverse’s AI models now run on millions of systems and devices across financial services, manufacturing, cybersecurity, defense, and energy. Enterprise customers including Bosch, PwC, the Bank of Canada, Indra, Telefónica, Allianz, and Iberdrola trust Multiverse to optimize AI for vehicles, drones, edge devices, satellites, AI gigafactories, and data center and telecom infrastructure, saving hundreds of millions of dollars collectively.

The proof is in the numbers. Multiverse has grown its ARR over 10x in the past year and is one of the fastest-growing AI businesses in Europe, with 96x year-over-year sales growth in Q1 2026. This Series C funding round earns the company a €1.5B ($1.7B) pre-money valuation, a 5x step-up from its Series B one year ago.

Market tailwinds converge on efficiency

Two powerful tailwinds are in Multiverse’s favor during its next chapter of growth. Infrastructure operators and device manufacturers seek to deploy AI directly on devices, and tightening inference economics are pushing AI facilities to do more using less energy.

Sitting at the intersection of infrastructure and application layers, Multiverse is positioned to drive efficiency across the full AI value chain, from enterprise edge devices to data centers. This funding round will fuel that mission by accelerating research and development in its AI models and algorithms, investments in sovereign AI infrastructure and software, and the company’s expansion into key markets in East and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Canada, and the United States.
