Will Lin, Co-Founder and CEO, AKA Identity
Will is the Co-Founder and CEO of AKA Identity which aims to create a delightful solution for a pressing white space in Workforce Identity and Access Management.
Will has a track record of starting, incubating, investing in and supporting innovative and successful cybersecurity organizations. He was a founding team member and Managing Director at Forgepoint Capital, where he invested in and advised multiple companies. He co-founded and established the Security Tinkerers, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for the cybersecurity industry and its next generation of leaders.
He is a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. A published author who wrote The VC Field Guide, a book on the fundamentals of venture capital, Will is a frequent contributor to SecurityWeek and DarkReading. He was named a Venture Capital Journal Rising Star, and is an avid connector in the cybersecurity entrepreneur, investor, and practitioner ecosystems.
Will holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and found his calling at the intersection of IT and entrepreneurship after starting businesses to help pay for college. When not in the office, you’ll find Will on the hunt for up-and-coming restaurants or talking about startups at home with his VC spouse.
