We are excited to welcome you to our Fall 2024 Advisory Council Meeting and Dinner.
This is our annual, private, invite-only gathering of 150 stakeholders across the Forgepoint community, including our portfolio company CEOs, Global Advisory Council, select co-investors and partners, and other technology leaders (CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, CPOs), government executives, practitioners, and academics.
Our program is designed to cultivate conversations and collaboration around the latest trends and issues in cybersecurity, AI, infrastructure software and beyond, while enabling security leaders to engage meaningfully with their peers and innovators building the emerging technologies that matter.

Speaker Bios
Alberto Yépez, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Forgepoint Capital
Alberto is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building global businesses and leading them to successful exits. He is considered one of the pioneers of the cybersecurity industry and one of the most influential global investors in the sector. Alberto was recognized by Fortune as one of the top VCs Dominating Cybersecurity Investing and on TAG Cyber’s “Fifty to Watch: People Shaping Cyber” list.
Prior to Forgepoint, Alberto worked at Trident Capital leading cybersecurity investments. Prior to Trident, Alberto was Founder, Chairman and CEO of enCommerce (acq. Entrust), Co-CEO and President of Entrust (acq. Thoma Bravo), and Chairman and CEO of Thor Technologies (acq. Oracle). Alberto worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Warburg Pincus, a venture consultant at Bain Capital and was a consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense as part of the DeVenCI Initiative. Earlier in his career, Alberto held various senior management roles at Apple and Oracle.
Alberto is a member of the Aspen Institute’s Global Cybersecurity Group and serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC). He was previously on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), the Board of Trustees of the University of San Francisco and member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Technology Pioneers Community. Alberto holds a BS from the University of San Francisco. He also attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima, Perú.
When not in the office, Alberto enjoys traveling to other countries to learn about their art, culture, and cuisine. His favorite cuisine is Japanese-Peruvian fusion.
Tanya Loh, Chief Marketing Officer at Forgepoint Capital
As CMO at Forgepoint, Tanya’s mandate is to elevate the firm’s brand and portfolio globally, while cultivating the firm’s trusted community of entrepreneurs, experts, and executives for meaningful connections, conversations, and collaboration.
Tanya is a brand and business builder with extensive experience in startups, venture capital, and corporate innovation across industries. She has built and brought to market several startups and brands from scratch to launch to profitability and exit, and worked with companies large and small to develop new business opportunities that open up markets and accelerate growth. Prior to Forgepoint, she led market development for M12 – Microsoft’s Venture Fund, helping the firm expand into Europe and India, co-host two female founders competitions resulting in $10M invested in six early stage enterprise and deeptech startups, and build out M12’s Microsoft internal and external engagement programs with specific venture ecosystems and stakeholders. Prior to M12, Tanya served as VP of Marketing at tech-enabled reproductive health leader Spring Fertility, which she helped launch in 2016, and was a Partner at Stacked Venture Builder which acquired a social commerce startup she helped found. She was also a Marketing Director at Yammer (acq. Microsoft), and Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Thinkwell Group (acq. TAIT).
Tanya holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from Yale. When not in the office, Tanya enjoys hiking, snowboarding, good food, world travel, and most of all- spoiling her niece and nephew.
