Andres Andreu is a Venture Consultant at Forgepoint Capital. He supports investment due diligence and serves as a strategic advisor to Forgepoint’s portfolio companies.
A renowned cybersecurity leader with over 30 years of experience spanning federal government service, global consulting, and cybersecurity and IT in multiple industries, Andres currently serves as both Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Constella Intelligence. Prior to this, he held CISO roles at at Hearst, 2U/edX, and Bayshore Networks, where he was also the CTO and a founding member before the company’s acquisition by OPSWAT.
Andres has previously held senior IT and cybersecurity leadership roles with neuroFuzz Security, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, The Princeton Review, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. He currently serves on multiple advisory boards and as a mentor with Cyversity.
Andres holds CISSP and ISSAP credentials and is a Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) with two patents and multiple open-source projects. He is also a distinguished author, speaker, and contributor to the cybersecurity community. In addition to contributing to and being featured in numerous articles and publications, Andres has published two books, most recently The CISO Playbook and Professional Pen Testing for Web Applications. He has been recognized as a top CISO by multiple organizations including ComputerWorld, CISOs Connect™, C Level Focus, OnConferences, and Cyber Startup Observatory, among others.
Outside of work, Andres is happily married with four children and enjoys spending time with his family. He is an International Level certified judo coach with USA Judo and an accomplished visual artist.
