Andrew McClure is a Managing Director at Forgepoint and invests in early stage and growth stage companies building innovative technologies that protect the digital world.
He serves on the Boards at Constella Intelligence, Converge Insurance, CyberCube Analytics, Hyperproof, and Surefire Cyber. He was previously on the Boards at BehavioSec (acquired by RELX/LexisNexis), Cysiv (acquired by ForeScout), Prevoty (acquired by Imperva), and WireWheel (acquired by Osano). Andrew has led several spinout investments for Forgepoint and has incubated two companies within the firm.
Prior to Forgepoint, Andrew served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he led cross-functional teams in Afghanistan, the Middle East, East Africa, and Australia focused on signals intelligence and cyber operations. He remains active in the Reserves.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he also holds advanced degrees from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and the Australian National University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the National Security Institute and a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations. When not in the office, Andrew loves playing with his six children.
