Casilda is a Vice President at Forgepoint Capital, where she focuses on critical emerging technologies, including AI and GenAI security, SaaS security posture management, identity, financial fraud, and risk management. This includes thesis development, deal diligence, and portfolio company support. She is a Board Observer for Lynx, Nudge Security, and SPHERE and works closely with AKA Identity and Constella.
Since joining Forgepoint as a Summer Associate in 2022 and later as a Senior Associate in 2023, Casilda has been instrumental in shaping Forgepoint’s investment strategy in AI security. She developed a comprehensive thesis on the AI security landscape, mapping out the full value chain from data security to model training and governance. Her work has helped build a strong investment pipeline in areas such as Security for AI, AI for Security, vertical AI applications, and AI infrastructure.
Beyond AI, Casilda has played a key role in Forgepoint’s global expansion, supporting the firm’s strategic alliance with Santander and development of Forgepoint Capital International. She has led efforts in sourcing and mapping pipeline investment opportunities by country, engaging key startup communities, and collaborating with the firm’s London-based team to drive investment strategy and market entry into Europe, the UK, and Latin America.
Prior to Forgepoint, Casilda worked as a Telecom, Media, and Technology investment banker for UBS in London and Madrid, focusing on major cybersecurity transactions. She also worked at Seaya Ventures, a Spanish VC firm that invests in Spain and Latin America.
Casilda holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and dual BS degrees in Finance and International Business from Northeastern University and Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). She finds balance in hiking, Vinyasa yoga, skiing, and seeking new experiences. Since moving to the Bay Area, Casilda has mastered the art of sourdough baking.
