Ken Miyauchi is a Senior Advisor to Forgepoint.
Ken is a seasoned global executive with a distinguished career in Japan’s technology and telecommunications sectors. He began his career at the Japan Management Association in 1977 before joining Nihon SoftBank (now SoftBank Group Corp.) in 1984. Rising through the ranks, he became a Board Director in 1988 and later played a pivotal role in SoftBank’s expansion, serving as Executive Vice President & COO of Vodafone K.K. (now SoftBank Corp.) in 2006.
He held key leadership positions at SoftBank Mobile Corp. (now SoftBank Corp.), including Representative Director & COO (2007) and President & CEO (2015). He also served as Director of Yahoo Japan (now LY Corporation) in 2012. From 2013 to 2018, he was Senior Executive Vice President of SoftBank Corp. before assuming the role of President & CEO of SoftBank Corp. In 2018, he was also appointed Board Director of SoftBank Group Corp., a role he continues to hold today.
In 2021, he became Representative Director & Chairman of SoftBank Corp., transitioning to Director & Chairman in 2023 and Special Advisor in 2024. With decades of experience, he continues to provide strategic guidance to SoftBank Corp. in his current role as Special Advisor.
In 2023, Ken was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, one of the highest honors bestowed by the government of Japan for exceptional merit.
